Anybody know a good free virus/spyware remover ? I really can't afford a good virus remover , and im sure my parents cant either. I need to know a good free virus and spyware remover . My computers telling me I have all these viruses and problems and it keeps freezing up and most of my programs keep crashing when I run them . Its getting irritating and something need to be done. a good, FREE spyware/virus remover? For the past couple of days, my computer has been going crazy with virus'. I recently installed AVG Anti-Virus Free program and it's gotten rid of most of the virus' and now I can actually go on the internet without it being filled up with security popups but now it's been doing this weird thing where the entire screen turns text and etc. 10x bigger! It keeps coming up that this SPYWARE.MONSTER thing is trying to invade the comp. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it/ what I can use? It has to be free and needs to work for this kind of stuff. links would be appreciated! :] i have antivirus 2009 but I need a license to actually make it work and that's $50+. I doubt reinstalling Windows will even be possible considering how this has already ticked off my dad and he doesn't need to waste anymore money. He's stressed enough.

Free virus/spyware remover? Recently, my computer got spyware/Trojan [not sure exactly]. I don't go to porn sites or anything like that but a friend of mine started messing with the computer and since then it's been messed up. I can't get on most websites now and there's a bunch of pop-ups. I can't even use Mozilla FoxFire to browse the internet anymore. I have AVG, but it doesn't seem to remove anything. Free and effective spyware/virus/etc remover? Please help? I'm afraid I might have possibly downloaded a worm of some sort through a program yesterday. I really can't afford to get a new computer if something goes wrong with this one. Can someone recommend any good spyware and virus removers that are free? After downloading the file, I got the feeling something wasn't right. I checked my history and everything had been deleted except for the website I was on. I opened a new window and checked the history there, and all the sites I had visited were back on the list. Today I tried to download a removal system I thought would help and it told me there was another user logged on, but I only have one account for this computer. There is also an annoying yellow bar at the top of the page that pops up no matter what website I go to. It keeps asking me to install some toolbar or "client" for IE.

Well first off i went on a site just like youtube and it said i needed to install activeX to view the videos, which is fair enough because ive had to do that before. EMERGENCY!!! It went unnoticed in my McAfee, i tried spyware doctor, the smrz-like gibberish scanner named with weird letters similar to that, malaware scanner and remover, which said it detected like 47 threats and removed them but the icons are still in the bottom right corer and they still pop up fake virus scam crap and make my internet nearly unusable. All this free automatic stuff either doesn't work, only scans but not removes for free, or has problems with it.
